After communicating with my friends in the previous ceramic project, I learned that it takes a lot of time to make ceramics, and it is very difficult to change the design drawing and inspiration during this process. Therefore, once a design drawing is determined, it cannot be changed again. I drew a final design drawing I wanted based on my research, and began to make ceramics in the workshop. During this process, I was worried that if I just made a finished product, it would crack in the firing process, so I made another model.

According to the requirements of BRIEF, I need to make a salt jar in the ceramic project. I started with salt, and I did a series of studies on salt.               At the beginning of the project, I made a mind map and divided the research into several major directions: source, use, communication, influence, history and so on. In these directions, I found that I was very interested in the source of salt, so I conducted in-depth research and discussion in this area. I went through a lot of videos and literature, and I found that salt can be divided into two broad categories: sea salt and well salt. The two types of salt are made in different ways, but both involve the most basic technique of drying. After doing some preliminary research, I made several sketches to show my inspiration.
